Costner, Russell and Many More Celebrities Bring Star Power to the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic Pro-Am

May 7 was a picture-perfect day in Myrtle Beach as celebrities, pro golfers and excited fans came together for the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic Pro-Am at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club.
With Hollywood icons, hometown favorites and even a surprise appearance from one of comedy’s biggest names, the Pro-Am was the perfect kickoff to Myrtle Beach’s second annual PGA TOUR event. Smiles we everywhere and the energy was undeniable.
Kevin Costner, Kurt Russell, Vanna White and SURPRISE... Bill Murray
Two of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Kevin Costner and Kurt Russell, were the talk of the course. As ambassadors for ONEflight International (the event’s co-title sponsor), they were front and center for the day’s action. Russell teed off first at 8:30 a.m. from the first tee, with Costner following at 8:52 a.m. drawing cheers, camera flashes and plenty of admiration from fans. Both spoke to the local media following their play and said the oceanfront course was beautiful and they were happy to be in Myrtle Beach for this exciting event.
Adding hometown charm to the day, North Myrtle Beach’s own Vanna White, the beloved face of Wheel of Fortune, joined the celebrity lineup, teeing off from the 10th hole at 8:30 a.m. Her local ties made her a crowd favorite, and she brought her signature charm and warmth to the course.
Perhaps the most delightful moment of the day came when comedy legend Bill Murray made a surprise appearance. Though invited prior to the event, no one knew for sure if he’d be in attendance, so when he showed up, it sent a ripple of excitement through the crowd. Known for his love of golf and his playful spirit, Murray brought plenty of laughs to an already incredible day.
