PGA Tour Players Praise Grand Strand During ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic

The ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic, taking place May 8-11, 2026, has quickly established itself as one of the premier events on the PGA TOUR schedule, blending elite competition with the relaxed coastal atmosphere that makes the Grand Strand unique. Now in its third year, the tournament continues to draw top players from around the world while showcasing Myrtle Beach’s reputation as the "Golf Capital of the World."

From the Dunes Golf and Beach Club to courses across the Grand Strand, players this week have consistently pointed to the condition of the golf, the hospitality and the overall experience of being in Myrtle Beach.

Ryan Ruffels, who competed his way into the field through “The Q at Myrtle Beach,” said the week has exceeded expectations both on and off the course. “We played some amazing courses up at River's Edge and then at Pawleys Plantation for The Q. They were fantastic courses that were gracious enough to host us. Then the day after the Q, I got to play [at the Dunes Club] in a little match that I played in. The [Dunes Club] course itself is a phenomenal golf course. The condition is about as good as I've ever seen of any golf course."

For one of the youngest players on the Tour, Blades Brown, returning to the Grand Strand was something he openly welcomed. "I'm happy to be back in Myrtle Beach.” The rising young star also reflected on the opportunity to compete this week. “I'm so blessed to be in the position that I am, and I can't wait for the Myrtle Beach Classic this week.”

Five-time major champion Brooks Koepka kept his assessment straightforward, but meaningful coming from one of the sport’s biggest names. “It's a great golf course. The greens are in phenomenal shape.”

As tournament week continues, the reaction from players reinforces what Myrtle Beach has built over decades: a destination known not only for the quantity of golf available, but for the quality of the experience surrounding it. From championship-caliber courses to the welcoming atmosphere off the fairways, the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic continues to put the Grand Strand in front of a global audience, and players are clearly taking notice.
