Ole Smoky Distillery & Yee-Haw Brewing Co. Now Open in Myrtle Beach

Ole Smoky Distillery and Yee-Haw Brewing Co. are bringing more than moonshine and craft beer to Myrtle Beach. Their new entertainment-driven venue at Broadway at the Beach is another example of how tourism investment creates amenities, jobs and experiences that benefit both visitors and the people who live here year-round.

On May 19, officials with the Greater Myrtle Beach Collaborative held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the venue, marking its grand opening. Located near the Hard Rock Cafe, the new concept combines a distillery, brewery, restaurant, live music venue and event space into one large waterfront attraction. The project marks the first joint Ole Smoky and Yee-Haw location outside of Tennessee and represents a major addition to Myrtle Beach’s entertainment landscape.

The investment supports local jobs and local businesses. Construction on the Myrtle Beach location is being led by Monteith Construction, a locally based company, while architecture is being handled by LSP3. The venue also employs numerous full and part-time staff.

Adding a nationally recognized brand like Ole Smoky strengthens the destination’s ability to compete for visitors in an increasingly competitive tourism market. But projects like this are not just about attracting tourists. They directly affect quality of life for residents. Company leaders say the venue is intended to become a gathering place for both visitors and the local community.

For residents, that means another entertainment option without having to leave the region. For visitors, it creates another reason to choose Myrtle Beach over competing destinations.

That connection between tourism and quality of life is often overlooked. Visitor spending does not just support hotels and attractions. It fuels investments that create jobs, expand entertainment options, attract new brands and help build the type of community where people want to live, work and visit.

Ole Smoky’s arrival at Broadway at the Beach is the latest reminder that tourism is not separate from the local community. In Myrtle Beach, tourism investment helps shape the experiences residents enjoy every day.
