The artisanal ice cream and coffee shop Coffee & Cream Cabana is coming to Heidi’s Corner on Kings Highway and 82nd Avenue this spring.
The shop will feature 16 seasonal ice cream flavors made on-premise, dairy-free options, along with homemade waffle cones, cookie ice cream sandwiches and ice cream cakes. Owner Heidi Vukov and Veteran Manager Megan Fenwick attended Frozen Dessert University in the fall, which focuses on the process of artisanal ice cream making. Several other staff members will attend the program next month.
The drive-thru coffee shop will feature specialty coffees using freshly roasted coffee from sister restaurant Croissants Bistro & Bakery, a S.C.-certified coffee roaster, as well as light fare options and treats.
"We are so excited to be offering something new to our community that will feature locally grown fruits and locally roasted coffee. We can't wait to open our doors this spring for Myrtle Beach to try our creative and fun ice cream flavors and our delicious coffees," Vukov said.
Vukov was named South Carolina Restaurateur of the Year in 2011 and South Carolina Chef Ambassador in 2018.
Croissants Bistro & Bakery has been serving the Grand Strand for over 27 years, offering a variety of services, including breakfast, lunch, brunch, specialty cakes, catering and freshly roasted coffee.
