On June 8, Myrtle Beach will step into the national spotlight with a feature on the national television talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show, delivering valuable national exposure that reinforces the Grand Strand as one of America’s premier beach destinations.
Airing nationally since its debut in 2019 and hosted by Grammy-winning artist Kelly Clarkson, the program is one of daytime television’s most successful syndicated talk shows, earning more than 20 Daytime Emmy Awards and reaching millions of viewers across the country each week. While the show will air its final episodes this fall, fans remain dedicated to tuning in, relishing in Clarkson's relatable, down-to-earth personality and the unique blend of musical performances with emotional, unscripted moments.
The segment on Myrtle Beach will air as part of a travel series hosted by well-known travel expert Emily Kaufman, or “The Travel Mom,” who specializes in helping families plan accessible, affordable and memorable vacations. Along with being a recurring guest on Clarkson's show, Kaufman is often featured on Good Morning America, The Today Show and The Steve Harvey Show to name a few.
In her recent sponsored road trip series airing on Clarkson's show, Kaufman is highlighting destinations along South Carolina’s coast with Myrtle Beach earning its own dedicated segment focused on the area’s iconic attractions, family experiences and coastal atmosphere. Filming showcases recognizable landmarks such as the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, SkyWheel, Broadway at the Beach and Ripley’s Aquarium.
Visit Myrtle Beach, the Grand Strand's official destination marketing organization, supported the production by coordinating destination resources, assisting with local logistics and providing access to extensive video assets that helped tell the story of the Grand Strand to audiences nationwide.
