Join A New Resident Advisory Task Force With The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber

In a continued effort to promote, protect and improve the Grand Strand and its 14 unique communities, the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC) is proud to announce the formation of the Resident Advisory Task Force.

The Chamber is now seeking 15 local volunteers, one representative from each of the 11 Horry County Council districts and four at-large members, who will serve two-year terms and participate in six meetings a year.

Members will engage directly with MBACC leadership and have the opportunity to:

  • Identify and flag local issues and opportunities;
  • Provide feedback on Chamber programs, events and advocacy efforts; and
  • Recommend practical, resident-focused solutions centered on improving the region’s quality of life.

“This new initiative provides a more structured forum for engaging with residents, deepening our connection with the community and further fostering our mission to protect and improve the Grand Strand,” said MBACC President Jimmy Gray.

Full-time residents from Horry and Georgetown County from all walks of life, backgrounds and viewpoints are encouraged to apply. Membership with the Chamber is not required.

The deadline for applying is Aug. 22 and the first meeting will be held this fall. Interested applicants can learn more at myrtlebeachareachamber.com/about-us/engagement-opportunities/community-council-application.
