Getting To Hartford, Three Other Cities Now A 'Breeze'

There's exciting news out of our wonderful Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) about traveling to and from Myrtle Beach and Hartford, CT.

Breeze Airways just announced a new route to Hartford and they haven't event started flying out of MYR. “It’s unusual to announce additional destinations ahead of debut flights starting,” said Breeze CEO and Founder David Neeleman. “This new Connecticut addition will surely be welcomed along with our West Virginia and Florida routes as we bring efficient, affordable and elevated travel to more underserved markets.”

The new Hartford route will start May 2 and operate on a Airbus A220-300 aircraft with fares starting from $59* one-way if purchased by Jan. 29 for travel by Sept. 3, 2024. The Hartford route will be seasonal, flying on Thursdays and Sundays.

Judi Olmstead, Director of Airports at the Myrtle Beach International Airport, "Hartford, Conn., is one of the top demand markets for MYR and these flights are an excellent, much-needed option for travelers. We're thrilled to see another market announced by Breeze and offer our sincere thanks to their team for their continued investment in the Grand Strand."

Breeze Airways likes to say they're the U.S.’ only NLCC or "Nice Low-Cost Carrier" and while I can't vouch for that, I do know Breeze will also launch nonstop flights out of MYR to three other cities. Here's the lineup so far:

  • Providence, R.I. - Feb. 15
  • Hartford, Conn. - May 2
  • Charleston, W. Va. - May 10
  • Tampa, Fla. - May 10
