Music Is In The Air With Free Community Concerts Across The Grand Strand

Downtown Myrtle Beach - Nance Plaza

The Myrtle Beach Downtown Alliance (MBDA) is turning up the volume this spring as it officially unveils the lineup for its highly anticipated Nights at Nance spring concert series. Kicking off Thursday, March 19, the four-part series will take place in Nance Plaza (825 North Kings Highway) from 6 to 8 PM on select Thursdays in March and April.

"There is unmistakable energy returning to downtown this spring," said Jason T. Greene, Chief Executive Officer of the MBDA. "Boasting soulful local legends and high-energy performances, we’re confident that every generation will find a beat they love at Nights at Nance this spring. We aren't just putting on a free show; we’re creating a space where residents and visitors can grab a bite, connect with friends, and experience the cultural revitalization of downtown Myrtle Beach firsthand."

· March 19: Chocolate Chip & Company (Soul, Funk, & Dance)

· April 2: Heartburn (The Ultimate EMO Night Cover Band)

· April 16: Band on Fire (High-Energy Rock & Variety)

· April 30: Julio & The Saltines (Alternative & Party Rock Favorites)

Nights at Nance events are free and designed for all ages. Seating is first-come, first-served. Lawn chairs and beach blankets are highly encouraged. Several locally owned restaurants are adjacent to Nance Plaza.

Myrtle Beach Boardwalk - Plyler Park

The Myrtle Beach Downtown Alliance (MBDA), in partnership with the Oceanfront Merchants Association (OMA), recently announced the return of its popular spring entertainment series at Plyler Park. Running March 6 through April 12, 2026, the six-week celebration will transform the oceanfront venue into the premier destination for spring break festivities, offering a diverse lineup of live music, specialty entertainment, and interactive experiences—all completely free to the public.

Located at 1000 North Ocean Boulevard, adjacent to the iconic SkyWheel, Plyler Park will host three distinct event formats throughout the series, ensuring there's something for everyone visiting Myrtle Beach's Boardwalk this spring.

Friday Night Live: Music & Pyrotechnics (5-8 PM)

Each Friday evening will feature high-energy live concerts from 6-8 PM, complemented by professional fire shows as the sun sets over the Atlantic. The Friday Night Live series showcases a carefully curated mix of musical genres:

· March 6: Paramount Junction (rock)

· March 13: WeSawABear (indie-rock)

· March 20: Da' Sofa Kings (funk and soul)

· March 27: Rocket Ride (arena rock)

· April 3: Mostly Mikes (variety party band)

· April 10: NTRANZE (Top 40 dance)

Saturday Variety Entertainment (5-8 PM)

Saturday evenings will bring a rotating showcase of specialty acts presented by Over the Moon Productions. These live variety entertainment shows promise unexpected performances and dynamic energy perfect for families and groups enjoying the boardwalk.

Sunday Funday: Foam Parties & Special Events (1-4 PM)

Sunday afternoons will feature the series' signature foam parties, complete with live DJ performances and industrial foam cannons creating an unforgettable outdoor party atmosphere. Special themed events include a St. Patrick's Day Foam Party on March 15 and an Easter Sunday celebration on April 5 featuring music, bubbles, and face painting.

This summer, get ready to dance into summer as the City of North Myrtle Beach proudly presents the return of the Music on Main concert series, bringing live music every Thursday evening from June through September. Music on Main Concert Series in North
Concerts will now run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 pm.

With each week showcasing a different band, locals and visitors alike are invited to bring their beach chairs and enjoy the rhythms under the open sky. Don’t miss this beloved summer tradition that brings the community together through the power of live music.

Held at the iconic Horseshoe on Main Street, this free, family-friendly event will feature a rotating lineup of talented bands playing a mix of beach music, R&B, rock, and country—guaranteed to get toes tapping and hands clapping.
